A certified translation is produced by a permanent court interpreter (sworn translator) in Croatia, who confirms with a seal and signature that it is identical to the original. You need it when submitting a document to a court, office, university, employer or foreign institution. Email a scan and you receive a free quote with price and deadline.
When do you need a certified translation?
Certified translations are usually required by bodies receiving official documents, for example:
- courts, public authorities and registry offices;
- universities and qualification-recognition bodies;
- employers, banks and insurers;
- foreign institutions, embassies and residence or citizenship authorities;
- public procurement and tenders, where documents must be certified.
If you are unsure whether you need certification, ask the receiving institution or send me an enquiry and I will tell you what to ask.
Which documents do I translate?
I translate all kinds of official documents between English and Croatian, including:
- birth, marriage and other civil-status extracts;
- diplomas, school certificates and transcripts;
- contracts, powers of attorney and statements;
- medical documentation;
- court register extracts and financial statements;
- technical, project and tender documentation.
What do I need to provide?
A scan or clear photo is enough for a quote. For the certified translation itself, the original or a certified copy is required, because the interpreter confirms that the translation matches the document presented. Tell me where you will submit it and by when you need it.
How does ordering work?
- Send your document. Email a scan or photo, or use the contact form.
- Receive a free quote. It states the number of pages, the price and the deadline.
- I translate and, where needed, certify. Work starts once you confirm the quote.
